Similar to the wings of carpenter bee the color of the peahen’s feathers is created by the wings surface structure design rather than pigment coloration. The wings refract light which changes how humans perceive color which is based on the wings structural wavelength from the viewers perspective. There are numerous ways in which bioMimetica can be expressed. At least three excerpts (examples) will be provided as an intro, followed by a gallery display of the collective bioMimetica category.
